From the catalogue -> categories management we can manage our category tree.
We will use the upper buttons to add, edit or remove categories. We can also move the categories interactively within the tree itself, nesting or moving them with a simple “drag and drop” action.
Create or edit categories
The category management has 3 different tabs, in the first one we will be able to introduce the name of the category, a description (that will be shown in the web, although this will also depend on the theme installed in PresaShop), and if we want the category to be active or not, besides being able to select an image.
In the “associations” tab we must specify the parent category or if this is already a parent category, which groups of customers will have access to it and which store is associated (in the case of multistore environments). Group restrictions only affect the behavior of PrestaShop software, Innovacommerce will not apply any restrictions to a customer if we manually order from them in the ERP.
And finally, on the “SEO Options” tab are the meta tags that we can set up for the category. This, as well as the products will help us position our PrestaShop store. Remember that if you use Innovacommerce in a local environment without an online store, this data does not need to be specified, although it is a good habit if you plan to move your data to a future internet store.
